On Thursday the 27th of November 5/6 MC did a Mystery Hangout. A Mystery Hangout is like skype but on google and it is a mystery. We had to give clues to the other school so they could guess Australia, Melbourne and Mt Waverley and they did the same to us, so we could guess where they were in the world. These were the jobs we had to make sure we would work as a team and guess where they were quickly: Greeter/Introducer, Clue Givers, Google Mappers, Mapper, Google Researches, Reporters, Clue Recorders, Lead Thinkers, Progress Recorders, Questioners, Think Tank and Runners. Some of the clues we gave them were:
We are an island, we don’t have a white Christmas and we have held the olympics here before, The other school guessed Australia first! Not long after we guessed that they were from Canada. A While later after that they guessed that we were from Melbourne. We were running on adrenaline we were so excited and we were all getting into our roles and finding out where they were in the world. A while after that we guessed they were from Alberta. Now they had to guess Mt Waverley but their first guess was Mount Pleasant. They then guessed that we were from Mt Waverley. We didn’t give up hope and after a while with them giving us more clues we guessed that they were from Joussard. We were very happy to find out where they were in the world. At the end we asked each other questions like what was life like in our separate countries.We found out that their school only had 132 people and Joussard only had 180 people and they were there at 9 o’clock at night having a school sleepover..
All of us worked together as a team and all the messages got from person to person. The mystery Hangout was great it was a team effort and we did it!!!
